The lastest training technology is waiting for you.
Simulator technology at Lufthansa Flight Training - always one step ahead.
The inconspicuous exterior of a simulator often conceals the highly elaborate and cutting edge technology that lies hidden within. Lufthansa Flight Training has been using simulators to train cockpit and cabin crews for many decades. It has consistently invested in simulator technology, working with the leading manufacturers of simulators to set new standards for innovation, cost efficiency and reliability time and time again.Realistic training in our simulators thanks to state-of-the-art visual systems.
Training with the Lufthansa Flight Training simulator fleet offers our customers the opportunity to use the market-leading visual systems: Tropos (CAE) and EP-1000CT (Rockwell Collins). By introducing the EP-1000CT, Lufthansa Flight Training has opted not only for a modern visual system, but also one in which it has played a major role in developing. Dedicated visual maintenance teams at all of the Lufthansa Flight Training training centers are responsible for developing and updating the visual databases (airport models).
Virtual Slide premieres at Lufthansa Flight Training.
In its Airbus A320, A340 and A380 Cabin Emergency Evacuation Trainers (CEETs), Lufthansa Flight Training possesses the most modern cabin emergency evacuation trainers worldwide. They offer cockpit and cabin crews the opportunity to perform their emergency training in the most realistic conditions available to date. The Virtual Slide technology is the key element of the system and a unique feature in the aviation training landscape that allows each and every training participant to see what can happen if they open a door "in flight". The deployment of the slide is visually simulated on several displays. This allows to show all conceivable complication that could occur in connection with a slide. The sheer cost alone would make it impossible to realize this training feature using an original slide. The idea of a Virtual Slide came from Lufthansa Flight Training and the finished product was developed in close cooperation with TFC Käufer (Essen, Germany).
Virtual cabin training: the Airbus A380 Virtual Aircraft Visit.
Lufthansa Flight Training's Virtual Aircraft Visit for the A380 sees it once again set new standards in the area of future-oriented cabin training. The impossible is made possible by a program developed by Lufthansa Flight Training and Livingsolids (Magdeburg, Germany), which allows cockpit and cabin crews to experience a new form of individual and virtual aircraft visit.
The 50-inch 3D displays ensure the greatest possible reality and the trainees feel as if they are actually walking through the cabin of an A380 - allowing them to familiarize themselves with the aircraft. This is innovation in its purest form as Lufthansa Flight Training is the only provider worldwide that deploys a civil aviation authority-approved virtual aircraft visit for conversion training.
