Additional Cockpit Training
The objective of the UPRT is to help flight crews to acquire the required competencies to prevent or recover from a developing or developed aeroplane upset. Prevention training prepares flight crews to avoid incidents whereas recovery training prepares flight crews to prevent an accident once an upset condition has occurred.
UPRT will be required during various AOC holder training events according to EU regulations as of May 2016. LFT is currently developing all required training modules in line with ICAO-, IATA-and EU-rules and recommendations. We shall offer UPRT as follows:
- UPRT Trainer Course: This one day theoretical and practical training will qualify your instructors as UPRT-trainers.
- UPRT Theoretical Training: A comprehensive self-learning WBT/CBT program covers all relevant academics. It can be combined with practical training by LFT or can be purchased as "stand alone" product.
- UPRT Practical Training: UPRT modules are training courses which are only available as wet training.
Participants acquire flight approach certification under CAT II or CAT III weather conditions. Central components are multilevel practical training in a full-flight simulator and e-learning courses. Additional content: system basics, normal and abnormal procedures.
Separated into theoretical and practical sections, this course provides training in specific RNAV areas and requirements.
A head-up guidance system (HUD/HGS) displays flight data within the pilot's field of vision. This system is installed in Bombardier CRJs and Bombardier Dash 8 Q400s and will also be available in models within the Bombardier CSeries. The training teaches how to operate this system.
