EAT commits to LFT for another five years

The German cargo airline, European Air Transport Leipzig (EAT), and Lufthansa Flight Training (LFT) have agreed to extend their partnership. EAT will be training all of its cockpit crews for the Airbus A300-600 at Lufthansa Flight Training in Frankfurt until the end of 2016.
"Our fleet will be expanding to 13 Airbus A300-600 and 52 crews during the partnership, so it was very important for us to know that we had a reliable training partner by our side," announced Capt. Wolfgang Oehl, Director Flight Operations at EAT.

In addition to dry lease training with its own instructors, EAT also uses the established LFT wet lease training offer. "It proves that we have struck the right balance with the alignment of our wet lease training offer. It was particularly the extensive flight experience of the LFT instructors and the resulting high standard of training that were decisive factors in EAT's decision to opt for LFT," commented Christian Korherr, Head of Aviation Cockpit Training at Lufthansa Flight Training.
In addition to their simulator training, the EAT crews will also be doing their Emergency Training for the A300-600 at the LFTC in Frankfurt. Here too EAT has opted for the experience of LFT and will be training its crews with Lufthansa Flight Training's instructors.

We look forward to a continued successful training partnership with EAT.
