Bombardier Q400: Software Update for Simulator

At Lufthansa Flight Training, we always keep step with the latest developments on the market to ensure that we can offer our customers optimal training conditions.
As a result, we shall be performing a software update on three simulated components on our Bombardier Q400 simulator in Vienna:
Engine FADEC (Fully Authority Digital Electronic Controller)
Hydraulic PTU (Power Transfer Unit)
PEC (Propeller Electronic Controller)
Hydraulic PTU (Power Transfer Unit)
PEC (Propeller Electronic Controller)
"Besides the service bulletins issued by the aircraft manufacturer Bombardier, the decision in favour of this major investment was mainly guided by the training relevance for our customers," explained Christian Korherr, Managing Director at Lufthansa Flight Training Vienna.
The software update shall be installed by CAE Canada in close cooperation with the responsible engineers and technicians at Lufthansa Flight Training.
Within the first quarter of 2012 the status for all three components on the Bombardier Q400 in Vienna will be: Ready for Training.
